Cosmetically, the new drivers look really good. The M3 especially is the best looking head that they have made in years. I love that they got rid of the front weight track on this head because I feel that the rear track was much more effective and useful in the two previous M1 generations. The new TwistFace technology is even more exciting to me though. I'm looking forward to testing them out here shortly and seeing if the performance is as good as what I am hearing!

Marcus, do you think TM changed the weight track from a T to a Y because they no longer need as much draw/fade correction with the new face technology?

I actually think that it has to do more with ball speed. The Hammerhead technology would have required to the front track to be moved back which at that point would have shortened the rear track and lessened it's adjustability. This design allows for more front to back movement which I have found to be more useful and impactful in fitting anyways while still allowing for a horizontal change in CG. I think from a design standpoint that what they have done is awesome. That along with the new face technology are the two biggest things that I have been hoping an OEM would do for years now. I haven't hit one yet, but I'll be SHOCKED if these new drivers are anything other than spectacular. Every new model offers some sort of improvement or change, but this year's stuff should be something substantial and the type of improvement that I don't see guys be able to skip over and not change to.

They nailed it with the cosmetics on the head cover and the clubs in my opinion.

Round 1 in the books with the new M3. All I can say is that compared to the 2017 M1 the new M3 is SIGNIFICANTLY straighter. Then all flew very straight and the misses were slight pushes and pulls but all still in the fairway. In my round I missed 2 fairways (1 with a slight pull that didn't cut and ended up in a fairway bunker and 1 with a God awful swing that No driver could have fixed!!) and felt like the distance was at least as good as last years M1.

I'm going to go play again today and see if the results are similar to what I had this weekend.

After 4 rounds with the new M3 I have found that, at least for me, it is significantly straighter!!  The sound is a bit more muted and it fells "softer" to me.  I think this is a huge improvement over the last few years' models.  I can't wait to try the fairways and hybrids.
