If i open the face of my supertri to first setting which is 1 degree open i understand this actually decreases the loft by 0.5 degree i.e 9.5 - 9. Now if in that setting i then grip the club with the face square instead of open will the loft remain at 9 degrees. This has got me confused and two local pros have gave me different answers.

if you set the head to 1* open then square the clubface it will deloft the club.

Thanks it makes sense now after a nights sleep! :) Was confused with the setting of the shaft, it only changes the head position i.e. open or closed which in turn changes the loft. What confused me was in the instance of opening a wedge face i actually increase the loft however in the R9 if you open the face it decreases the loft which threw me off track. However the loft only changes in relation to the head position and not independent of it... oh here i go again!
