Apologize if this has been covered before, but I recently switched my wedge shaft to a dg spinner, from a DG s300..and my wedge game has gone down hill..I cannot keep the ball down, very little distance control and I keep hitting the ball right...is it me the shaft??? HELP...my wedges are callaway x forged, non-conforming grooves..

I wasn't able to appreciate the spinner shafts either.

For me, the same distance control, trajectory control, and also feel were lacking.

I went back to DG.

More spin is normally accomplished with a firm continuous acceleration through the ball and though it can be helped by a softer shaft, that change demands a change in the owners swing more often than not. That is the sticking point. Most of us find the change confusing and approach the swing with a fair amount of trepidation, which again makes the swing more difficult. For me, changing the swing without changing the equipment is a lot easier as a goal and probably more productive.

I might also add that where wedges for the short game are concerned, too stiff is easier to live with than not stiff enough.

I switched to a DG Spinner Wedge+ in my lob wedge and love it, the normal wedge flex is too weak and too light for my liking, not enough feel with it but the wedge+ feels great and keeps the ball down and spins a little more. However I am using it in a conforming groove wedges and would never dream of using one in a non conforming groove as it would spin way too much

I installed a spinner in a Vega RAF 05 58deg bent to 59 with the non conforming grooves & serious face milling. After drilling out the hosel to drop the SW I can practically stop a ball from 30 yds on the proverbial marble staircase. It's addictive & fun hitting that shot with a soft Pro V1.

The spinner shafts didn't work out for me either.
