@  ROBOPTI : (28 July 2014 - 10:27 AM) BIG THANK YOU to Callaway Golf for the LDA/KOD head giveaway ... Cuz everyone needs a 6* driver
@  rfdegen : (28 July 2014 - 09:48 AM) At 55, starting to figure out why PGA Seniors only play 3 days! After two weeks with a lot of golf, my aching body is tired!
@  Callaway_Anthony : (28 July 2014 - 08:50 AM) Congrats Slick and MWP on winning the X2 Hot Pro LD heads. Enjoy!
@  TheMechanic : (28 July 2014 - 07:21 AM) Superfast Long hosel on its way to BSG for some ROGUE Treatment ;-) cant wait!
@  J13 : (28 July 2014 - 05:54 AM) Enjoy the LD heads boys WE EXPECT VIDEO'S of you hitting 6ft high missiles !!!!!
@  slick : (27 July 2014 - 08:54 PM) Wow! incredible!!!! Stoked for the LD head. I'm playing the X2Hot Pro so this will compliment it perfectly!!!!! Thanks again BSG and Callaway for the giveaway. Feels strange actually being one of "the chosen" instead of the other way around!
@  Armyguy13 : (27 July 2014 - 08:50 PM) Dang! Missed the free 5.5deg driver by ONE!! Congrats Slick and MWP!
@  J13 : (27 July 2014 - 07:37 PM) I just realized I'm right 60% of the time everytime
@  TWshoot67 : (27 July 2014 - 01:32 PM) Would love to have the extra cash lying around to buy a set of Yoro MP4's with some Aldila Rip Tours.. yummy!
@  TheMechanic : (27 July 2014 - 10:46 AM) go for yoro craft MP4's they are sick
@  runkle87 : (27 July 2014 - 10:08 AM) supersoft
@  runkle87 : (27 July 2014 - 10:07 AM) Supersoft
@  TJR : (25 July 2014 - 10:09 PM) I will have a set of MP-4s someday. Maybe try a MP-4/MP-64 combo?
@  TJR : (25 July 2014 - 10:00 PM) Love my 64s! They're the closest I've found to being a perfect all-around iron (appearance, feel, forgiveness).
@  BingHogan : (25 July 2014 - 05:34 PM) Should read: are great... Duh!
@  BingHogan : (25 July 2014 - 05:32 PM) KBS V Tour is really good too, maybe a touch light but dispersion and feel is great.
@  BingHogan : (25 July 2014 - 05:31 PM) The MP 4 is a fine iron but there ain't nothin wrong with the 64 either!
@  TJR : (25 July 2014 - 03:42 PM) I've only hit a MP-4 6 iron in a simulator, but it felt great as to be expected! The only new release I've seen pictures of is the MP-15, which doesn't really interest me.
@  BingHogan : (25 July 2014 - 10:48 AM) Mizuno, where are those new MP 65's or ???. Hitting an MP 4 w/ KBS V Tour.
@  BingHogan : (25 July 2014 - 10:46 AM) Rusty!? 99% of them would be happy to be that rusty!
@  TJR : (24 July 2014 - 03:52 PM) It would be hard to argue that he isn't the greatest player of all time. It's only a matter of time before he breaks Snead's win record.
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 08:42 PM) That would still only be about 1/2 the wins of what Tiger will have when he hangs up the spikes.... But yet the haters will hate and that's life. Tiger still has 10 more years to win on PGA Tour .
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 08:39 PM) Well Dave we must be in the minority or too old to realize who's still one of the best golfers in the history of the game. When/ IF Rory and Speith have 50 wins in their careers then maybe I'll hold them in esteem with TIGER!
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 08:34 PM) Sorry MrParr1Noid, it was my auto spell check, I didn't even notice until you said that, No slip showing here.
@  petter7 : (23 July 2014 - 08:28 PM) Hmmm. Let's see…Tiger wins 5 times, leading money winner, player-of-the-year, #1 in the world, LAST YEAR!! And that was with a bad back!! Back is fixed with no more pain and he's still fit as any other tour player and he's washed up? LMAO
@  J13 : (23 July 2014 - 08:16 PM) Time will tell with Tiger but I hope Rory just doesn't disappear again for 2 years.
@  MrParr1Noid : (23 July 2014 - 08:15 PM) Then I suggest you re-read your response to me about 4 posts down. Your slip is showing .. :) .. Don't have time for your silly games either .. I"m out ..
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 07:56 PM) I don't know where you got shit 67 from shoot67 but it shows your mentality
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 07:53 PM) Tiger is far from done , he's got plenty of years to win b4 Champions Tour
@  MrParr1Noid : (23 July 2014 - 07:52 PM) I just have to laugh at that one TWshiit67, not about trashing Tiger but about Tiger's growning jowls like an old man.. :)
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 07:52 PM) Every time tiger doesn't win his career is over say so called experts then he rattles off 5 wins in one year, neither Rory or Speith have done that in any one season. And tiger diid it last year. Once Tiger plays a few more rounds he will win again.
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 07:49 PM) I just have to laugh at that one Mr Parr1Noid, not about protecting Tiger just laughing at GC proclaiming or anointing the next greatest every other week. Edit: Fixed Spelling,
@  MrParr1Noid : (23 July 2014 - 07:18 PM) Guys are so overly protective of Tiger. Tiger won't ever be the same (young) as he once was.. :) Guys like Rory and Speith are (younger) just coming into their game.. :) Tiger should be getting ready for the seniors tour cause he ain't never going to compete with these young guys again.
@  J13 : (23 July 2014 - 06:08 PM) haha agree TW. Speith is the new Rory?
@  TWshoot67 : (23 July 2014 - 04:24 PM) J- all it would take is for Speith to win his next outing or dare I say win the PGA and then he'd be the next great one! I mean he is 5 years younger then Rory!!
@  J13 : (23 July 2014 - 06:23 AM) I can't keep up with all of the "new" Tiger's in the game. I guess Speith is not in vogue anymore
@  ROBOPTI : (22 July 2014 - 11:20 AM) CALLAWAY V SERIES DRIVER PHOTO ON USGA LIST ;)
@  TWshoot67 : (21 July 2014 - 09:29 PM) Funny two weeks ago Adam Scott was the next coming of Tiger, now it's Rory again. neither can sniff what TIGER has done!
@  TWshoot67 : (21 July 2014 - 09:28 PM) J13 glad you said something, I have to laugh every time I watch or read anything from GC.
@  MrParr1Noid : (21 July 2014 - 08:14 PM) HossOnMoss, thanks for the welcome .. And? J13, when will Tiger be back .. LMAO .. :9:
@  J13 : (21 July 2014 - 07:50 PM) So all within a matter of days Rory is unstoppable, Tiger is finished, Fowler is now a rival of Rory?
@  drumdog : (21 July 2014 - 04:13 PM) Glad I could finally get on here. Not sure what my problem was, but now I'm here!
@  HossOnMoss : (21 July 2014 - 12:41 PM) Welcome to BSG MrParr1Noid...glad to have you here!
@  Dscvrr_St Louis : (21 July 2014 - 10:57 AM) Kudos to Fowler and Garcia for making a push and forcing Rory to play well to maintain his lead!!
@  ROBOPTI : (21 July 2014 - 10:25 AM) WHAT UP CREW ... BIG Congrats to Rory !!! Wouldn't you love to see him & Adam Scott show up at the same place with the MacDaddy A game going ... WOW
@  TWshoot67 : (20 July 2014 - 11:32 AM) Congrats to Rory on the win, also congrats to my man RF with a great showing in another major, should have one soon! Great playing boys!
@  MrParr1Noid : (19 July 2014 - 08:37 PM) Cool look'n site set up you all have here. Gracias for approving my new account @ BSG.. :thanks:

I look forward to contributing here @ BSG..
@  SirSaint77 : (18 July 2014 - 07:43 PM) Man Rory is ripping that driver with no fear.
@  TWshoot67 : (18 July 2014 - 02:47 PM) maybe the real bad weather will show up tomorrow... Tiger and phil will need some real bad weather and their A games to have any chance!
@  TWshoot67 : (17 July 2014 - 11:42 PM) Round 2 underway and sounds like Rain just started as first player tees off... Could be an interesting day :golf2: :badday:

@  petter7 : (14 July 2014 - 01:14 PM) I believe Mizuno measurements are without the grip on the club vs. Titleist with the grip installed.
@  HossOnMoss : (14 July 2014 - 10:42 AM) Correct. They measure differently and are actually the same length.
@  TJR : (14 July 2014 - 05:45 AM) Melonhead - 38" (Titleist) 37.75" (Mizuno) - difference is probably the way the clubs are measured.
@  MN NICE : (14 July 2014 - 05:27 AM) MONDAYS ARE FOR SUCKERS!
@  melonhead : (13 July 2014 - 09:56 PM) What is standard length for a 5 iron guys?
@  yardsonthetable : (12 July 2014 - 06:21 PM) Thanks!
@  J13 : (12 July 2014 - 10:43 AM) bttw you have to put the cursor over Box with the arrow to get the dash to come up.
@  J13 : (12 July 2014 - 04:18 AM) yardsonthetable- at the top right hand of the shoutbox there is a small oval with a dash in it (-) just click that to minimize the shoutbox
@  yardsonthetable : (11 July 2014 - 09:33 PM) It's why I thought the site was dead. Shoutbox occupies the top of every page on my laptop.
@  yardsonthetable : (11 July 2014 - 09:31 PM) Why is shoutbox at the top of every page? It's quite annoying.

I currently game a Sonartec 13 degree with an X Flex Vista Pro 90. It has been a great club, but I was wondering what everyone else is gaming, particularly a 3 wood to primarily hit off of the tee?

Adams 5050 or Taylormade R7 Ti Tour. If pure distance is what you want, 13 degree in either will give it to you. No other two 3 woods have as high a pure ball speed.

Adams 5050 13* with Altus.

I'd agree on the Adams 5050 13* and whatever shaft fits your swing... although Altus seems to be a good all around choice.

I would add that a 13* metal wood should be considered a 2 wood, especially given many of us are now playing 10* drivers or higher.
That said, pure tee club distance for me no question the new Tour Edge CB3tour 15*-3 wood.

If you wanted something with a no left bias that was easier to hit off the deck but slightly shorter in tee distance I would add the new Ping I15 14*...shallower face, slight fade bias making it nearly impossibe to smother hook.
Good luck

The longest 3 wood I ever hit was my 15* 970 series Titleist with a Graffaloy prolite. I had many 280-300 yard drives when hit on the screws ( well not that many ...but you know). Problem was it wasn't the most forgiving but it was LONG! So unless you got a super grooved swing I'll stick with my TM HFS 15* with my Fuji 771 TA. I would like to try that TM ti since it's a nice looking head very similar to my HFS in my opinion as far as shape. I'm sure Todd would know which head is deeper face but they look close from pics I've seen posted here.

Both good clubs, but nothing touches the 970 or TEE CB series IMHO.

Another vote for the 5050. Mine is a 13* bent 1* so plays somewhere near 12*.
My swing suits the code series so matched with a code 8 this makes one long 3 wood!
Saying that, probably more of a fairway driver!!

I have a special ERC 3+ wood 12.5deg with a Graf Blue. This club is a monster 'stinger' club but I only use it when I play links golf as it's too long for my home course.

That was gonna be my two votes as well. Neither are the most forgiving but they make "ball go far".

I hit a TourIssue Adams BTY 12.5* that was a few degrees open, effective loft was probably around 10*, and that thing was just a rocket launcher.

Adams 5050, I almost hit it too far sometimes. I got it for 240ish yd drives on tight par 4's, but I can hit it that far off the fairway.

I've played most of the TM 3 woods extensively and have found R9 13* to be the deepest of them all.Posted Image

My current Cally X-Hot 13* 3-wood is the longest I've ever hit and will only leave when they can pry it from my cold dead hands. Nuff said.

The X Hot 3-wood is an extension of Callaway Golf’s X Fairway Woods line, with a larger head volume (202 cc’s) and shallow face for increased forgiveness and confidence. Big enough to double as a driving club, its low leading edge means it’s effective from tight lies or the rough.

455 Carpenter Steel Face
The lighter, stronger steel face provides increased ball speed off the clubface resulting in unmatched distance from a Callaway Golf 3-wood. The steel face also enables our engineers to increase the clubhead volume for a higher Moment of Inertia (MOI), greater forgiveness and stability, and more confidence at address.

Long Fujikura Banzai Shaft
The Fujikura Banzai shaft provides great feel and exceptional control to complement the X Hot clubhead features. At 44 inches, it offers increased clubhead speed for increased distance.

I'm playing and don't plan to replace for sometime a tour issued burner 3 wood with a matrix code 8 shaft. I assume it is the HFS head 2007 model.

I bought from a guy on the BSG sell/trade.

The club is absolutely hot and feels like butter! It sets up really nice to ball and is easy to work high, low, left, or right.

For me it's been the 5050 or the Burner TP '07. Both are almost as long as many drivers.
