Has anyone tried a JP 64*?

Also, how is the 56* out of the sand? I've hit a JP 60* from the sand and wonder if the 56* outshines it.

Zinger, which wedges does JP carry in his bag?

Does he switch around, or stay with the same stuff?

I play the 55* out of the sand and it is phenomenal. Quite possibly the BEST wedge that I have hit from the sand. the grind i have closely resembles the M grind with a little more heel and toe relief. Lifts the ball easily from the bunkers, especially around the nice fluffy sand.
I will say that the one thing that I had to get used to was the soft forged feel on these wedges. They really feel like the ball stay on the face longer, very soft feeling. I had to get used to the distance differences with these, but the feel is unmatched IMO. If you go on his site, I play Grind No. 3 with conforming wedges. no worry on the lack of spin, they still bite quite a bit!

It seems like he works a lot more than he plays. When I have played with him, he is usually testing different prototypes, and grinds. He had JP Prototype Irons in the bag as well, and a completely custom blacked out driver.

So to answer your question, Tex, when he does play, it's more like work...always something new and different.

That is awesome. I'm sure Marcus can relate. ;)

The matching trim bag is the final touch.

No, Kyoei Forged, just like the wedges. It's just a finish.

Zinger,
As you are aware, his new grind is sick! Can't wait to pick one up in a 60*. You can use that thing from anywhere green side! Can't figure out how to post the photo on here but you guys can see it on his Facebook page.

Yep, I was lucky enough to prototype test it last summer at my home course. It's an incredible grind that really helps get the ball out of sand nicely, especially coarse sand that I play out of.

I called it the "Dubbya."

I discussed it here: http://bombsquadgolf...dpost__p__52543
