So the rbz came out on Friday and I'm sure someone has bought it and played it. What did you think? How does it compare to the 2.0? Thanks for your opinions.

I just tried it on the monitor at the golf store . Nothing but balloon balls for me . It was so light I couldnt believe it . I feel the 2.0 is a little more solid . I didnt get to hit the r11s , too many people .

1st round today in So Cal. 9 Degree tour with Stock XCon 6. Thought I was getting an HD6 until I got it home and looked at it.

In any event here are my one round thoughts:

Looks - sets up square. looks good. Not much different than R11. Green graphics on head do not distract me at all.

Sound - Loud! no doubt about it you can tell when you hit it BUT NOT Obnoxious

Distance -Long, long and long. Believe the hype. I averaged 270 with longest drive 311. First swing with the club at 630am with no warm up resulted in a 275 down the middle drive.

Forgiveness - Very good. I hit a couple off the heel and they still got out there.

Complaints or concerns- XCon 6 did not give me the dispersion I am used to with my gamer Oban Devotion. Would like to try it with the HD 6 (TP model and 100 up charge). Most likely will get a sleeve and reshaft with an Oban, Miyazaki or Diamana Ahina.

Bottom line- Winner. Can't wait to try the 3 wood. Did hit a 3 Wood HL (really a 4 wood -17 dgeree) indoors and was getting 244 of the mat.

I've played 1 "Tough Days" and 9 holes today. I have a RBZ Tour 9* with 65x Devotion.

Head: Perfect! The SFTP 2.0 was a good looking driver and I like this one better. I wasn't sure I'd like the square setup, but I'm finding that I can work it more. I know it's going to draw and I can hit the fade when I need too.

Sound: Weird, it's loud, much louder than the SF20TP, but I can live with it.

Length: So far it's long, I'm going to go ahead and say it's longer than my SFTP2.0. I had the same shaft in my SFTP20 and the spin seems to be a little lower. The dispersion is also much tighter.

All in all, I'm in love so far. My first ever drive with it was down the right middle with a draw, my second drive was from the woods (tough days), 268 to the pin. I hit a high cut over the trees, landed pin high and we made eagle. After those 2 drives I was sold!

Seems like a little hot melt is needed to quiet this thing down to a low roar!

Wonder how well a Candy Lime X-Con 5 tipped a half inch would work in this head???

Good idea! A little hot melt would go a loooooooooooong way. I think anything candy lime in a RBZ Tour would be perfect.

I think that your comments about being able to work it more easily are dead on. The Superfast 2.0 head is great from a forgiveness standpoint and it has phenominal launch and spin. My hopes for RBZ was that it would be similar in distance, but easier to hit both ways. SF 2.0 is great from an accuracy standpoint since it is forgiving and eliminates the big left miss, but I would like to be able to comfortably hit it both directions which I think that RBZ provides.

I have a Tour 9* with a Graphite design ad-di in it. It is a bomber and seems forgiving enough. Mine wants to go left in the neutral setting but not bad left. A fade is doable. The sound only bothers me when I hit range rocks.

I hit it today with my coach on the heated tees. After video taping me and the R11, I hit the RBZ, 9 degree stiff from our new demo bag. I was averaging ~15-20 yards farther with the club. One big difference is that my R11 is 45" and the RBZ is 46". Honestly, I need the adjustability of the R11 (or R11s). The RBZ sat up square and felt OK with the stock shaft, but it's all about dialing in the perfect solution for me. I'm apprehensive about the distance increase because of its potential to get me in even more trouble! :nono:

Now the rescue and 3 wood... maybe!

I went with the RBZ Tour TP 9.0 with a Diamana Ahina x-flex shaft. I love it! Spin rate around 2100 launch angle of 10.9 my average carry of 295.
I agree it felt light but with the correct shaft and proper weighting it felt just like the R11s TP.
The R11s just produced more spin than the RBZ for my swing.
So it's RBZ Tour TP Driver,3w,5w and TS for me with the MC Irons with either project x 6.5 flighted or KBS X C-Taper for 2012..

My RBZ driver came in a few days ago and have gotten one round in with it. I have the standard RBZ 9.5 that came with the Matrix XCON 5. Did not like it with the stock shaft. I have an AD DI5 and a AD DJ5 that I put in it and am very happy. It actually had a little flatter trajectory than anticipated and settled on the DJ5. My previous driver is a 2010 TM Burner TP with a DJ5 at the same length and frequency. The Burner launches a little higher. The fairways were wet and picking up a little mud, but, the RBZ was about 5 yards longer on average. The nice thing is it is easy to hit straight and it eliminated the hard hook that I battle with the Burner. It was easy to hit a soft fade or draw without overcooking them, and, no balloon balls. Very flat trajectory with a nice angle of descent. With one round in I'm very happy and it will replace one of my favorite drivers to date. Others have mentioned sound being a bit obnoxious, but, I didn't notice it.

I love the smash and spin numbers of the RBZ Tour in the cage. I didn't notice the loudness all that much, maybe I'm going deaf.

Now for a higher launch shaft with solid feel. Perhaps the X-Con 5 is in order. That limey would look sick petter.

Anyone have a review of the Matrix RUL 60??

The X-Con 5 has been a good shaft for me ZBigStick and this Candy Lime one is just waiting for a hot head.

RBZ Tour seems like a good candidate. :)

I have played a total of 54 holes with this driver. I really like the head in every way. The stock xcon shaft is garbage for me. It is so inconsistent. Way left or way right and everything else in between. I tried a GD addi 6stiff in it and it was much more consistent. The launch is too high with this shaft but I still believe this could be a gamer with a good mid launch shaft in it. I love the looks and feel of this club. it is as long as anything else that I have tried.

Another 27 holes with the RBZ tour today but with a shaft change. I currently have a tour spec Motore speeder 6. stiff in it. What a difference. Consistent and as long or longer on pure hits than anything I have tried. My last experiment will be a stiff Miyazaki Indigo 56 gram or a Bassara wyvern 58 gram. I want to see if I can gain any distance with a lighter shaft. Just need to know I am getting all I can with this head. I do like it so far better than anything else. Currently my club is 288 grams total. Knock off another 11 grams and who knows.

Great post! Let us know how the testing goes. The RBZ driver is growing on me. Might have to give it a try.

I tried the RBZ Tour 9* with the UST Mamiya VTS 7X (Tour SPX).
1) Launch was a touch high and a little balloony on miss hits
2) As before mentioned the sound is quite loud, so defiantly some rattle stop or hot-melt is needed, just to deaden the sound.
3) Was quite easy to hit it both ways
4) Distance and carry was a touch longer then my current gamer (R11 9*)
5) I felt I lost some distance on miss hits, but that was more me then the club.
Overall I like the squareness at setup, and how easy it is to hit. Just need to lower the launch and spin a fraction and I will be gaming it... until I get board and want to try something new.

great weather here in kentucky so I have in another 36 holes with the RBZ head. Now I have a bassara Wyvern 53 tour stiff in this head. This shaft weighs 58 grams. Wow what a great shaft. Much smoother than the TS motore speeder. A draw is harder to create but it is doable with a good swing. It is very hard to hook this combo. before gaming this combo I noticed on the range that the Bassara was longer. More carry and about the same amount of roll out. great combo. I was concerned that I would over power this shaft but that is not the case. The club is now 9 grams lighter than the production weight. Long and solid.
