There is a difference between not cheating because you won't get away with it and not cheating, or even considering it, because you are a man of honor and integrity. The game of golf is unique in sport because we call penalties on ourselves and, I would hope, not because we are afraid of getting caught but because it is the right thing to do.
Tiger lost his moral compass and his integrity, either you have it or you don't, it is not situational. I think Tiger would have cheated if he thought he could get away with it as he has the self admitted "win at any cost" philosophy just as he cheated in his marriage because he thought he was above the rules society puts on people and thought he could get away with it. I also wonder if the next scandal will be about illegal enhancing drugs a Canadian Doctor and Tiger.
I don't, and never did, like the guy BECAUSE of his lack of sportsmanship, you are confusing cause and effect.
If you think Tiger has cheated on the course, you are kidding yourself. So, every tour player that cheats on his wife cheats in golf. Many tour players do things off the course that would leave us shaking our head
